Off to Retirement Life!
Our dear friend and teacher of almost a decade at Skyline Music has finally decided to venture back to her homeland of Nova Scotia over the summer. Cindi Lachner started out her musical journey later in life as an adult student who then became a piano teacher and achieved her Royal Conservatory of Music Level 9 Piano, Harmony & History diplomas. She is proof that continuing education in adult life can be just as rewarding, even with a later start than most. Cindi lived in Chestermere and was a great supporter of Skyline Music at the two locations (Calgary NE and our Airdrie SE location). Despite the long drive both ways, she was a consistent and dedicated teacher who loved working with Skyline students of all levels and talents. As an avid singer, songwriter and musician, Cindi then joined the Airdrie Community Choir a handful of years ago where she served as an Alto and soloist on several pieces. If you would like to hear some of her solos and original compositions, you can check her out on Spotify and Youtube Music under the Airdrie Community Choir 2024 and 2025 listings. Cindi has been very excited to spend her retirement years back in her homeland and took the entire summer (it felt) to get back to her roots. We will absolutely miss her enthusiasm and exuberance at the studio as will her many students. We want to thank Cindi for a decade of her service to Skyline Music and our community. All the best on the East Coast!!!
